Imam Abu Farah Helmi El Agha , the Imam & Executive Director of the American Muslim Leadership Council (AML COUNCIL L) met with the new Captain & Commander for the West Side Kevin Wilkinson and the outgoing Captain Fred Hinderman to discuss Safety concerns as well as making a safety visit to Izzadeen Academy.

During the visit to the center , the new commander visited Izzadeen Academy and discussed the future scheduling of “School Active Shooter” training to insure the Safety of the school staff and students .

In light of recent events in the nation and the rise of School Shootings , Imam Abu Farah stressed the importance of working close with the Osceola County Sheriff Office to prepare the school and conduct the necessary training needed for the school.

The Imam & The Captain agreed on a follow up meeting during which dates will be set to move forward with the collaboration of the sheriffs office to conduct “Bridge the Gap” round table which will be attended by community members as well as Law Enforcement to build a better understanding and future communication and cooperation between the two entities.
