Orlando, FL: On Tuesday October 11th, 2016 The American Muslim Leadership Council (AML Council) Executive Director Imam Helmi (Abufarah) El Agha was invited by Channel 13 News to participate in the upcoming 9th District town hall between Democrat State Sen. Soto and Republican Wayne Liebnitzky.

The two candidates have very different priorities they wish to pursue should they win the race for the seat vacated by Alan Grayson. 

Imam Helmi El Agha participation in the town hall focused on the issues facing American Muslims in Central Florida, and the Nation at Large. Among the key issues raised by the Imam, “The calls to Profile Muslims”, and Federal Funding needed to battle the issue of Radicalization, and Home Grown terror.

AML COUNCIL believes Your voice in the local elections is your first step in against discriminatory laws and legislation passed in the state and national legislatures that will have a direct effect on our community.
